| I started my volunteering in recycling club but once the pandemic hit and we all went virtual, I started to look into different opportunities, something online but found little luck.
I later started looking for local opportunities outside of school and ended up starting to volunteer at a local temple in Novi.
The goal was to try to find something and see if it would be a good fit, you might not like what you start with or you may have trouble finding something in the first place but you should always keep trying.
Now I regularly volunteer at the local temple and I’ve met so many people, students and adults and it’s opened up a completely new world for me.

Now when thinking of leadership many of us want to be in an officer position in a club, be the founders of a new club, or be the leader of an organization.
This is a great place to start, for most of the leadership positions that are like this, consistency is key, try to be involved in that club early on and try to stay a part of it until you decide for an officer position.
Another great way to show your leadership is in class, being a role model, helping those around you when they need it, and being able to work with different people with consistent results in the work you output is extremely important.
This is a great way to stand out in class especially if you find yourself having difficulty putting yourself out in front of people, that’s the role of a silent leader. |
