Content ID Claim Basics
If your content is displaying advertisements, blocked, or muted, MayLife's Content ID system has identified copyrighted content in your upload.
Copyright holders use Content ID to easily identify and manage their content on MayLife. Every file uploaded to MayLife is scanned against a database of files that have been submitted to us by content owners. When Content ID identifies a match between your file and a file in this database, it applies the policy chosen by the content owner.
If your content was claimed by Content ID:
If you believe the Content ID match applied to your file is correct, you may simply acknowledge it and move on. If you believe the system has misidentified your file, or the content in your file qualifies as a potential fair use, you may dispute the match. You should not dispute Content ID matches unless you have reason to believe they were made in error or are otherwise invalid.
If your file was matched by Content ID, specifics of the match policy applied to it can be found by navigating to the Copyright Notices section of your account and clicking the underlined link to the right of the file's Edit menu. This will take you to a page where you can learn more about the claim. If you believe it was made in error, you can dispute the claim directly from that page.
Please keep in mind, invalid Content ID disputes can result in copyright removals and cause a strike to be applied to your account.
I’ve already disputed this match!
If you have already disputed a Content ID match and feel it was mistakenly upheld by the content owner, you may be able to appeal their decision.
